Perfecting Imperfection: One Day At A Time
  • About Me

Music is my life. Everything can be expressed, handled or just felt more deeply with the right chord or phrase. I have been blessed with some amazing friends and am still at that point where my life is an open book. If you’d like, stick around for a bit and help me write a few chapters…

    • Just taught four IT assistant director and team leads the meaning and uses of the phrase 'chimo'. @lmh21 would be so proud.

Quote Of The Week

August 26th, 2008

While working side-by-side with one of my new students…

New Student: Went and saw Death Race last night.

Laurel: Oh, really?  How was it?

NS: Horrible.  It was terrible.

L: Seriously?

NS: Yeah, I’ve heard better dialogue in adult films.

How do you respond to that?

You respond “That is an unfair comparison! 9 Songs had some wonderful dialogue and a believable romantically involved couple! A better comparison would be you’ve heard better dialogue in Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks romance movies.”

or… is that too complicated for a casual conversation?

Being speechless IS the appropriate managerial response. If you want to go a step further, just smirk, and they’ll think you have something absolutely hilarious to say but know better than to do so.
