Perfecting Imperfection: One Day At A Time
  • About Me

Music is my life. Everything can be expressed, handled or just felt more deeply with the right chord or phrase. I have been blessed with some amazing friends and am still at that point where my life is an open book. If you’d like, stick around for a bit and help me write a few chapters…

A New Day Has Come

June 8th, 2008

Finally, Flagstaff has a truly awesome grocery shopping experience. Since I moved here eight years ago I’ve wondered why a Trader Joe’s or some other organic/natural/whole feeds market hasn’t ventured into Flagstaff, but with the opening our our brand-spanking new New Frontiers, our cries have finally been answered. Early in the week, Lauren and I popped into to look around and find something for dinner and ended up just wandering the aisles. Gorgeous produce, make your own peanut and almond butter stands, a huge selection of meats and cheeses, a soup and salad bar, a bakery, coffee bar, a sandwich and panini bar, AND a sushi chef are just the extras that go along with their standard organic foods and health care products. This could easily become my new favorite shopping spot in town.

Organic in my part of Tennessee means two rows of rough looking produce that’s 10x the price of the other stuff. And Trader Joes won’t come here because of the liquor laws – you can sell beer but not wine at grocery stores. Because you know beer doesn’t get you as drunk. I’m very jealous.

@Judy – Awww, I’m sorry. If there’s anything you desperately need, it could be shipped.
