Perfecting Imperfection: One Day At A Time
  • About Me

Music is my life. Everything can be expressed, handled or just felt more deeply with the right chord or phrase. I have been blessed with some amazing friends and am still at that point where my life is an open book. If you’d like, stick around for a bit and help me write a few chapters…

I’m Not Gonna Write You A Love Song

December 30th, 2007

Anyone who knows me knows that when it comes to music 7 times out of ten the music spilling from my speakers is a male voice (minus, the Amy Grant era of my life) and isn’t going to be changing anytime soon. However, as I was compiling my favorite albums of 2007, it was shocking the number of female artists who make an appearance on the list or even are considered. Previously, I’ve talked of my love for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and Alicia Keys, and as my list began to take shape it was obvious that this was truly the year of great females in music. My list will eventually appear here as a post of its own, but for now enjoy three of my favorite female artists of 2007.

Sara Bareilles:Love Song
Ingrid Michaelson:The Way I Am

Feist:One Evening
